Suwannee County School District (SCSD) takes pride in being in a safe place to learn and grow.  However, there is still a chance that someone could come on campus to cause harm or to threaten our students, staff and visitors.  The SCSD chose ALICE Protocol Training to better protect themselves in such circumstances. Talking to children about a violent intruder can be very scary and challenging.  "I'm Not Scared, I'm Prepared" is a book written by Julia Cook that enhances the concepts of ALICE and prepares students at an early age, in a non-threatening way. Kids can develop a better understanding of what needs to be done if they ever do encounter a dangerous someone in their school.
